We believe that everyone should be entitled to a basic human need, such as a SHOWER!!!! So for our first event, The Healing Cross Project in partnership with Thundershowers, Specialty Textiles and the Paul C. Helmick Foundation set out to provide showers for the homeless. We had over 300 participants attend and are hoping for even more to join us next time. For the next event on Saturday, October 12th from 10:00 a.m.- 2:00 p.m., we will also provide socks, under garments and clothing. This will be held at The Human Services Campus located at 204 S. 12th Ave Phx, 85007.
Derrick’s legacy will be hard at work giving some dignity back to the homeless and an understanding of how much they DO SUFFER!
